Linda Yaccarino Resigns As CEO Of X corp

X formerly Twitter was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone and Evan Williams. It was acquired by Elon Musk in October 2022 for $44 Billion and rebranded to X on July 23, 2023. Musk served as CEO until June 6, 2023, when Linda Yaccarino succeeded as the CEO of X.

On July 9, 2025, Yaccarino via her X account announced her resignation from X after 2 years of incredible service. 

In her post, she express gratitude to Elon Musk for trusting her with the responsibility of protecting free speech and transforming X into the "Everything App."

The reasons for her resignation remains unknown.

A day before her resignation, Grok, an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by xAI and integrated on the X platform, raised alarm on antisemtic and pro-Hitler remarks in response to user prompt.
