Apple announced the transition of Jeff Williams' role as Chief Operating Officer to Sabih Khan.
Jeff Williams holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina state university and an MBA from Duck university. He joined Apple Inc in 1998. He was named vice president of operation in 2004 and was later promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Apple on December 17, 2015. Jeff Williams would be retiring in late 2025 after 27 years of service to Apple with plans to spend more time with family and friends beginning from next year.
Sabih Khan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and mechanical engineering from Tufts university and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer polytechnic institute. He joined Apple in 1995 and was named Senior vice president of operations on 27 June, 2019. During this role, Khan was in charge of Apple's global supply chain and he reports to Jeff Williams.
