Clay Magouyrk and Mike Sicilia Named Oracle Co-CEOs, Safra Catz Takes Executive Vice Chair Role
Oracle Corporation , September 22, 2025, announced via its website the appointment of Clay Magouyrk and Mike Sicilia as Co-CEOs.
Oracle Corporation is a technology company co-founded by Larry Ellison, Bob Miner, and Ed Oates on June 16, 1977. Its key specialties are database software and Cloud Infrastructures.
Before his appointment as Co-CEO, Clay Magouyrk served as President of Oracle cloud infrastructure and was a founding team member of Oracle's cloud engineering development center in Seattle. With 11 years at Oracle, Magouyrk began his journey as a software Development Engineer at Amazon from July 2008 to July 2014, before joining Oracle in July 2014 where he led product strategy, engineering, technical operations, and customer success alongside his team.
Mike Sicilia previously served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Primavera System from May 1993 to December 2008 until its acquisition by Oracle in 2008. He went on to serve as Vice President of Development for Primavera Global Business Unit from January 2009 to December 2010, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Construction and Engineering Global Business Unit from January 2011 to December 2018, Executive Vice President of Oracle Industries from December 2018 to June 2025, and President of Oracle industries from June 2025 until his recent appointment in September 2025
Together, Magouyrk and Sicilia will be leading Oracle on technological innovations.
Safra Catz, who has also been named Executive Vice Chair of the Oracle Board of Directors, was Co-President and Chief Financial Officer at Oracle in April 2011 before being jointly appointed Co-CEO with Mark Hurd in 2014, and later sole CEO in 2019.
A conference call and live webcast were hosted by Oracle today September 22 at 8 A.M Central Time to discuss the announcement.
